The story centers on Biden’s insistence that he has no involvement in the business dealings that have landed his relatives, especially his son Hunter, in hot water with authorities. President Biden has spent years trying to convince voters that he never used his positions of power to gain lucrative deals for himself and his relatives.
However, Politico is telling a different story. According to public records, some of Biden’s closest White House advisors and aides have worked very closely with his family’s businesses.
But it’s not just those who worked with Biden in the White House as vice president and later president. Records show that government aides have assisted the Biden’s family business dealings for nearly fifty years, dating back to when Biden initially ran for Senate. They have also given business associates lucrative government positions or campaign roles. Many of their business partners are now facing federal corruption charges.
Politico also revealed that Joe and Hunter Biden shared a bookkeeper with Hunter and an attorney with his brother, Jim. Jim also hired the investigative services of Biden’s previous Secret Service head to investigate suspicions surrounding Hunter Biden. Those are only a few of several overlapping business partners. President Biden has repeatedly claimed that he’s never so much as discussed his family’s businesses with them.
Some experts believe Politico’s decision to betray Biden could be a sign of the Democrat party’s plans to replace him as its nominee. Biden has failed to connect with minority and young voters in 2024, two demographics that are typically Democrat strongholds. Rumors have already swirled around Biden possibly withdrawing from the race with the party set to nominate Michelle Obama in his place. However, those rumors have not yet been validated.
Biden’s presidency has been marked by a series of gaffes that have caused his administration global embarrassment. Those gaffes include napping during meetings with world leaders and touching children inappropriately. He has struggled to gain a foothold in the race against Donald Trump despite the latter’s ongoing legal battles.
