(ImpactHeadlines.com) – New polling data shows President Joe Biden’s own party is turning on him ahead of the 2024 presidential elections.
The Rasmussen poll showed that 54% of Democrat voters want Biden replaced as their party’s nominee just weeks after he became the presumptive nominee. The same poll showed that 49% of all voters would approve his replacement. That percentage was actually brought down by Republicans, with only 45% of them saying he should be replaced with another candidate.
Young voters, a typical stronghold for the Democrat party, are the largest demographic among left-wing voters who want to replace Biden at 69%. Those segments include voters between ages 18 and 39. However, most voters also believe that his replacement is unlikely.
More trouble for the Democrat party is the number of voters who chose “none of them” when asked which prominent Democrat they would want to replace him. That was the top choice among 48% of voters, with Kamala Harris coming in second place with only 10% of the votes. The poll was given a 95% confidence level and a sampling error of 3 points.
The numbers among young voters come as no surprise as a majority of all American voters have expressed concerns over Biden’s age and mental fitness. His presidency has been defined by a series of gaffes that range from attempting to shake hands with air to touching children inappropriately. He was also described as having a poor memory after classified documents were found stored improperly in his home. His campaign created a highly controversial TikTok account in an effort to attract young voters, but it has fallen flat so far.
Democrats have also recently turned on Biden over his border security policies. Congressional representatives in both parties have blasted Biden for leaving the border open for illegal immigrants. Other Democrat officials, including New York Mayor Eric Adams, have also condemned Biden’s border policies. Border Patrol agents have also reported becoming overwhelmed by the unprecedented influx of illegal immigrants.
